Observation details
A female Calliope was reliably seen numerous times throughout the morning in the same area as reported by Ninad yesterday. I saw a small hummingbird with buffy flanks that were not as bright as Rufous/Allen's. The wingtips appeared nearly at the tip of the tail feathers at rest. The bill was shorter, thinner, and straighter than typical for a Rufous/Allen's. Curtis saw a male appear for about 2 seconds.
