When this bird was first encountered around October 30ish 2018, the head was light brown with only glints of crimson red seen in the correct light. Today's bird, after 2 months of seed and suet, one can see the crown and supercillium and nape turning red.
Observation details
photos continuing bird. Red plumage in the head has increased dramatically since this bird has arrived in October.
