Observation details
Early morning shot in dim light next to an adult male Anna's. The length of the bill worries me (too short for a Black-chinned?) and the tail may be too long. But the neck is so clean and the shading on the breast and flanks look good for a female/immature Black-chinned. Also, the gray auriculars and dark lores look good. I've got a relatively light immature/female Anna's in an adjoining photograph taken in similar light for comparison.
