Observation details
It was cold and hazy when I started my walk. I must have walked 20 steps on the trail when I heard a Tsee Tsee calls. I recorded the call on my phone (Moto G5 Plus). Since I had never heard this calls I tried to find the bird. A bird was flew in a canopy ahead of me and the calls continued. The canopy of Bauhinia purpera was hding most of the bird so could not make out but when it flew down and perched on a woody shrub at an eye level, I saw a bird which reminded me a Blackbird or a Thrush except that it was slightly smaller than Blackbird or may be the same size. Overall color uniformly sandy with pale orange legs. Before I could look at more features it flew away and landed in an undergrowth (ornamental plants used as ground cover) and some bald patches of sand in between. I tried to see again through my binoculars but it was difficult to get clear views and if I would have moved it would have flown away, which it eventually did. I checked Grimmett et al, OBI and heard calls on xeno canto and it matches with female of Tickell's Thrush. First record for Khem Villas
