Observation details
Found day before by Sam Viles, it then roosted on someones house for the night however was viewable on the house by street light. We arrived an hour and a half before light, so watching the bird roosting for two hours before it started to whizz around the Headland. At some points it was flying no more than a couple of inches alongside the crowd, making photography hard. The square tail, white rump that banded round to some extent and small size ruled it out from any other Swifts. Identified as a 1st winter bird due to difference in tips to coverts.
