Observation details
Rare. Continuing in the inlet, loosely associating with Common Eider. First seen near the mouth of the inlet with eider flock, then swam midway up the inlet on the west side before drifting back toward the mouth. Relatively large alcid. Black above, white below. White throat, but gave a more "hooded' impression than Razorbill. Heavy straight bill with distinct horizontal white line on the bill. Photos.
