Observation details
Juvenile Snowy Egret observed in Norwich VT, just upstream from the confluence of the Ompomponoosuc & Connecticut Rivers (distance above ~50m). Initially thought to be a Little Blue Heron, but yellow feet and hints of black on legs as well as yellow lores (seen poorly in these photos) are all more consistent with Snowy Egret. Consensus opinion among many is now SNEG. Found by Cathy Hybels and son Kevin while driving on Rt. 5. Also: Also: And finally (yes, I could use a sharper lens):
