Observation details
Foraging with other juncos. Does not appear to be a full "pink-sided", but has most characteristics. Pale gray head, nape, neck and upper breast lacking the hooded appearance of Oregon-types. Pale bill. Blackish lores. Buff flanks and back. White belly and outer tail feathers typical of juncos. Appears to differ from typical pink-sided in the gray area of the flank near the base of the tail, and perhaps the back color.
