Observation details
Seen at an altitude of 3080 m., first sight was at 10:19 hrs. (Bad pictures), when perched on top of a agave plant, after being scared of a herd of sheeps that was passing by. This actual picture was taken at 12:10 hrs on the same day (digiscoped) using a spotting scope Vortex Viper HD 15-45 x 65 mm with an iPhone 4. Coordinates (from where I was watching): -13.61621,-71.74010 The first registry on this species was on august 11, 2013 by Dr. Jose Luis Venero and was first published on a Facebook Group by Juan José Salas Falcón on the 9th September (bird was seen on the 8th sep.) , then also was seen before by Ronald Collado on the 7th sep. but published on Facebook on 14th sep.
