- No bird;
This shows the exact location of the Ash-throated Crake.
At the regional reviewer's request, I have corrected my identification of this bird, adding information regarding this detection. The exact location of the bird was S 15.44074 W 55.81673. We photographed it from the road that travels over the north end of the pond. We saw this bird poorly for several minutes before it finally came into view. At one point it retreated upslope and then it returned to the edge of the pond where we photographed it. All three of us saw the bird and after consulting our field guide, we agreed that it was an Ash-throated Crake. I cannot recall additional details on its appearance other than what the photo provides. Holmgren detected no vocalizations from the bird.
