Observation details
1st county record - Found by Susan Braun at 6:15pm when it dropped in and landed among the gulls at the beach. Stood around and occasionally bathed alongside the gulls and then flew off with all the gulls at 7:23pm and gained height, heading to the west until it was out of view even through a scope. Hear calling many times while it was in the air. Probably a male based on bill length and shape.
