Observation details
Photo of one individual found at www.hoyaudubon.org/birds . Walked south along lakefront (lowest level I've seen) when a bird dropped down 30 feet ahead of me. Just as I attempted to keep distance to take a photo, 2 addtional birds took off, one of which called like a pipit (the 2nd of the two birds to take flight assumed to be a pipit as well). The first individual which I initially saw land then took flight to the south. After working south past the single jetty (south of the 2nd hole on golf course) I came upon a Pipit again. I then saw a second individual and then a third. Just as I caught sight of the third Pipit, it took off calling with another (4th) bird of similar size and flight. I could assume there were 4 Pipits but can only confirm the three. Distance of the three birds seen were between 30-50 feet. They were in same vicinity of the SPSA. Low lake level has provided nearly 100 feet of additional width to this portion of the rocky shoreline. Algae covered in areas.
