Media notes
NOTES: Transitional forest between foothill chaco and montane moist yungas. Also recorded by Mark B. Robbins (MBR-AG05-7; 1-108). All songs after distant playback. We recorded this bird from about 250m away and played back to it then, thinking it was much closer than it turned out to be. Upon approach, the bird was singing the same cadence and with the same volume as it had been prior to playback. We played back to it once more from close range to coax it out of the tangle. Bird was seen well for most of the cut, facing us on the edge of a dense tangle just above eye-level. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Deciduous Forest, Thicket/Brush, Scrub.
