NOTES: A female Turdus chiguanco gave an distress call when someone in the tent pulled it out of a bird bag. Almost immediately, this male shot up from the brush nearby the tent and perched in an alder tree next to the tent and began singing this whisper song. This recording starts about 5 minutes in his bout of singing. Section after first announcement: the bird clearly gets more excited and sings longer and louder phrases. After the second announcement, I played back to it and recorded its response in the third section (which includes a manual gain adjustment). Response to playback starts at 4:35. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest.
