NOTES: This bird was making a large loop overhead with four winnowing dives per loop. At 8:26 there is a unique descent vocalization as the bird quit its display flight and came down to the marsh. Shortly after the announcement, the bird flew up atop a post in the marsh about 2m tall and gave the repetitive, grating "song." This last voc type starts at about 10:45 and goes until the end. There is Himantopus mexicanus calling throughout pieces of this cut. Quality of the winnowing is 2-3, 2 and quality of the "song" is 2-1. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Court. Habitat: Wetland, Freshwater.
