NOTES: The first bird was unseen but 15 meters away and about eye level in relatively dense growth in the understory near a small clearing in good forest; after playback, both birds approached and began singing right next to the trail; the slower of the two songs in the early part of the recording were by the male, but faster songs highlighted in the latter part of the recording were by the female (both seen giving their respective songs); the birds typically moved in the 2-6 meter range in relatively dense undergrowth of good forest but there was little if any bamboo; in the latter part of the recording, they were initially 8-10 meters away and low, later 6-8 meters away and 5 meters up, still in dense undergrowth; high clouds / hazy sunshine, intermittent breeze, 76¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Mate, Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
