NOTES: The very thin call in the first part was given while the bird was in view in the treetops right at the bend in the road at the bottom of the hill [09¡ 00' 02Ó S, 35¡ 50' 26Ó W, 390 meters]; the bird then flew off and was unseen during the second part, but I think this was the same bird; the bird was initially 20-25 meters away and 18-20 meters up in a dead tree with vines and possibly some fruit right at the stream crossing, later probably 30-35 meters away and 20-25 meters up in a nearby tree that was not in view; I did not actually see the bird giving the later calls but I think I saw it give the earlier ones; there may have been two birds present; partly cloudy, intermittent trace breeze, mid-80s. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Iodopleura pipra leucopygia to Iodopleura pipra to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Creek, Riparian, Edge.
