NOTES: This recording combines calls by a close bird with songs by a second individual in the background; the birds were unseen at the time but about 15-18 meters away and 3-5 meters up in the lower mid-levels in relatively good forest on the slope above the stream and along the road between the small clearing and the sharp bend at the base of the hill; these birds were moderately response to playback of the call, but one of the birds was very responsive to playback of the song, flying back-and-forth and perching briefly in the open as near to me as 5 meters and typically between 2 and 4 meters up (but at times up to 8-10 meters above the ground); although they did give aggressive calls in response to playback, they never again sang; almost completely clear, calm, 73¡ F, and seemingly quite humid. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Mate, Advertise, Scold. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Creek, Riparian.
