NOTES: This recording was made following playback of a very brief cut of a bird that was moving away at the time, but I recorded over the natural songs due to their really poor quality; this bird was one of two singing, possibly a pair, that was probably 15-20 meters away and 2-3 meters up and low in the undergrowth right at the edge of the isolated field / clearing within the forest and not far from the stream; in response to playback of themselves, this cut contains similar songs that were given more often; the birds also approached weakly in response to playback, and I managed to see a male (apparently the bird recorded here), which at the time was 3-4 meters up in tangles at the edge of the clearing; it had its inter-scapular patch flared; the final song was after playback of the better cut that I kept, with the bird now unseen but about 3 meters up and 20 meters away; mostly overcast, calm, 75¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Rural, Edge.
