NOTES: A series of recordings of three birds that I saw as they foraged 12-30 meters away on the surface of a dirt road through fields of sugar cane but with forest fragments at the edges of the field; the birds seemed to be going after prey attracted to cane stubble that had been dropped in the road; they typically called only in flight or just before they took flight (flying 3-4 meters over the ground) so I had to walk up on them and try to get something on tape before they went quiet; possibly a family group, I noticed that these birds were often seen in groups of two to four birds; weather conditions similar [mostly low overcast, calm, 74¡ F] but clearing up more. Other Behaviors: Establish Flock Contact. Habitat: Rural, Field, Scrub, Edge.
