NOTES: Initially natural songs by an unseen bird that was about 50-60 meters away and in the mid-levels of trees across the ravine; later the same bird after playback, the songs were given when the bird was 15-18 meters away and 6-10 meters up in a trunk that was not in view; playback of these songs resulted in additional approach to a trunk that was 12 meters up, and when later recorded calling it was about 20-22 meters away, before it eventually flew off; after playback, the bird was generally 10-15 meters up, and when seen, it was on a relatively slim trunk; I eventually saw the bird relatively well and described it on the tape; although I saw the bird when it sang, I did not see it when it called; almost fully overcast, calm, 84¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
