NOTES: I abruptly stopped recording when the bird, a male with a black hood, olive upperparts, yellow underparts, and a yellow wedge in the wing, popped out in the open in front of me, 15-18 meters away and eye-level, but 20 meters up near the canopy of a tree that was apparently in a pine of some sort (if not a Casuarina) with small cones; there was also a pair of Carduelis psaltria, but I do not think that they gave these vocalizations; recorded in the same general area as the previous cut (#2000-50-04); almost completely clear, occasionally breezy, 67¡ F; an unbroken cut with an internal announcement. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Cloudforest, Evergreen Forest, Coniferous Forest, Stream, Second-growth.
