Media notes

NOTES: These songs by a male were recorded following my whistled imitation and playback of the previous recording (cut #2000-47-03), after which this bird began calling and eventually singing in dense undergrowth right at the first stream crossing along the right fork of the second spur (ramal) road in the INCRA project; when recorded, the bird was 6-10 meters away and <1 meter up; response to playback of the call was minimal, but in response to playback of song, the bird moved around me and perched on exposed branches 1/2-1 meter up in the understory where I saw it quite well; partly cloudy (high thin clouds), calm, 81¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Creek.
