NOTES: This bird began by calling twice in the area where I had recorded it on previous mornings but it soon moved to a point on the north side of the road across from the stream and back into the forest some distance (thus about 50-100 meters farther out the road from where it typically sang); the bird gave its first song at 5:32:15, after which I missed six songs getting onto it, now 40-50 meters away and apparently relatively high but moving a bit in tall terra firme forest; 3/4 moon about 45¡ up in western sky; partly cloudy with high thin clouds, calm, upper 70s. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides to Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides/dorbignyanus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
