NOTES: The same bird as in previous recording (#00-RDAT01-22) but the conditions were now somewhat better; still, the bird was moving constantly and singing only infrequently; this was recorded after additional whistling but no playback; the bird flew in about 25 meters up overhead then moved about along a vine-tangled trunk up into the canopy before switching to the smaller branches of another tree; although the initial approach was quite low, subsequent encounters were quite high; the bird also gave a harsh rattle when it first came in that was quite loud and reminiscent of the call of Lochmias nematura, but later songs were essentially the same as those given before I whistled to the bird; partly cloudy with clouds to the east but few to the west. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Social Context: Mixed. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
