Observation details
Heard the jumbled, raspy song from the willows/mule fat plants north east of the pond, about 100 feet beyond the end of the sidewalk. Made some recordings of the song. The bird appeared briefly low in the bushes about 15 feet in front of me, and I managed to photograph only the head. Large warbler. Dark grayish/brown on top of head, back, wings and tail. White spectacles. Thick bill. Yellow throat and breast. Whitish undertail tail coverts. In the center of the attached photo, the bird's head and yellow upper breast can be seen.
