Observation details
Continuing bird found yesterday by Curtis Marantz, Howard King and Matthew Grube. I observed the bird while it was foraging in the company of Greater Yellows near the short plants in the center of pond F1-3. Smaller than nearby Greater Yellowlegs and larger than nearby Killdeer. The narrow, dark, pointed bill was approximately the length of the width of the head. Yellow legs and feet. Appeared to be acquiring its alternate plumage. Grayish brown back, wings and top of head. Whitish line above eye. Upper breast light gray. White belly. Distant, cropped photo for identification.
