NOTES: This is the same bird (or pair of birds) previously recorded at this same spot in cut #RCR05-07 (in deciduous forest on top of Serra just beyond the 600 m marker for the trail); I was standing under nest tree, with the adult well seen as it called and flew from branch to branch and crept along 10-25 m away and 3-8 m up; while I was pointed at the adult, a stub-tailed juvenile flew out from direction of nest tree and landed on a branch of a nearby tree about 10 m away and 4 m up; it then moved to another tree about 15 m away and the same height before both birds flew off together; I assume this represented the fledging event for the nestling that I had recorded a half-hour earlier in cut #RCR05-90; I saw only a single adult and one fledgling, with the more whiny. ÒtwitteringÓ vocalizations given by the fledgling; dense smoke bank overhead, calm, humid, 80¡ F [= RCR162]. Other Behaviors: Establish Parent Young Contact, Beg, Care For Young, Social Context: Family. Habitat: Forest, Deciduous Forest, Scrub, Rocky.
