Unseen bird appeared to be singing from 15-20 m up overhead (seemingly higher than usual) in a tall, vine-covered tree in terra firme forest along dry streambed right at edge of Saleiro [09¡ 36' 05.4Ó S, 55¡ 56' 11.8Ó W, 245 m]. I strongly suspect that this was the same bird recorded giving calls in ML 126831, but I cannot be absolutely sure. This bird did seem to shift positions following playback and it changed from giving an unusual call to a more normal song. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Riparian, Edge.
