NOTES: Unseen bird was 25 m up overhead in the mid-levels in tall terra firme forest near a large tree-fall gap on slope along Trilha de Teles Pires about 300 m beyond the dry streambed; neither playback nor whistled imitation resulted in much of a response; clear but hazy, calm, mid- to upper 70s [= RCR079-081 Ð first call is at 1:02 - beginning and end parts not copied]. ML: Subject changed from Aves sp. to Laniocera hypopyrra based on inclusion on Alta Floresta guide and confirmation by Alex Lees. -Jay McGowan 3Nov2015.
