Media notes
NOTES: I obtained mediocre views of this bird as it circled 200-300 m away and high up over the campina and adjacent forest not far from where we earlier recorded Cyanocorax cyanopogon (cut #CAR05-70); I saw the bird well enough to identify it as a Harpagus with fluffy white undertail-coverts, but I believe Luciano N. Naka saw it better than did I; a few high, thin clouds overhead with a mild breeze (5+ knots), and probably in the upper 70s to low 80s; these vocalizations are almost identical to those in LNS #29959, recorded by Theodore A. Parker, III at Cocha Cashu, Manu NP, Madre de Dios, Peru [= CAR208-210; CAR154 Ð GPS coordinates]. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest, Scrub.
