NOTES: Song of adult male that was unseen at the time, but well seen both just before and just after this was recorded; bird was probably 60-70 m away and probably about 45 m above the ground in the canopy of tall forest in a relatively narrow strip between two cangas along Salobo Road; bird bent over slightly when it sang; partly cloudy, intermittent breeze of maybe 5 knots; this was almost certainly the only individual that I recorded here, and thus the same individual highlighted in cuts #CAR05-64 & 97; input set at 10 mV / Pa for this recording [= CAR192]. ML: Background subject changed from Pyrrhura picta to P. amazonum to reflect current taxonomy. -Jay McGowan 29Apr2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
