Observation details

Two apparent family groups, including at least one singing male. Lifer for RPO. Critically endangered; this spot is the only place they remain in the world. Current population estimate is 1,300 individuals, plus or minus 300. They have declined for nine years in a row now. Hopefully the government can get the public support they need to finish the sheep exclusion fence soon and start preserving the habitat of this special species. Photographed:
