Observation details
One bird photographed, one not. Possibly includes a continuing bird from a few days earlier. Description of the first bird, not photographed: Purple facial skin, dark red eye, no white feathering around the face. See this checklist for photos of possibly the same hybrid ibis, photographed about 0.2 miles from here and a couple days earlier: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S13957267 The second bird was photographed. It was initially identified as a pure Glossy Ibis, and was accepted by the Utah Bird Records Committee as such (see http://www.utahbirds.org/RecCom/2013/2013_38.htm). The facial pattern looks much like a Glossy Ibis, but with a very subtle blush of purple in the right angle. However, the legs are too pinkish-red for Glossy Ibis and indicate a (rather Glossy-looking) hybrid. I have amended this record accordingly (in August 2019). I suggest that the reviewer reevaluate the other co-observers' records.
