NOTES: BP2 in flat used to power microphone. Recorded under natural conditions. One individual, recorded in exact same place where discovered on the night of 8 June 2005. This fact, together with the lack of movement of this bird during the recording, leads me to believe that this individual and the second individual heard in the background were branchers--flightless young that leave the nest to reside in surrounding trees. A single brancher was observed on 9 June 2005 in the same spot, perched near the outer end of a branch of a large white pine (Pinus strobus). Habitat can be described as a woodlot in a residential area, with a mix of white pine, cedars, and deciduous trees. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest.
