THE INDIVIDUAL CALLS ARE VERY NASAL; LONG DRAWN OUT AND NOT INFLECTED. THE A. PHOENICEUS OF AREA IS NASAL BUT INFLECTED; NOT MUCH LIKE EASTERN BIRD. A. TRICOLOR'S DO NOT SIT UP MUCH IN THE OPEN, LIKE REDWINGS, BUT KEEP OUT OF SIGHT IN VEGETATION WHILE CALLING. SEPERATE CALLS ARE CLEARER AT END.
