Observation details
Small empid showing several characteristics of Hammond's -- eye ring, short notched tail, moderately long primary extension, etc. -- but with a larger paler (more Least-like) bill than is typical for Hammond's. Consensus of solicited opinions is that this is within the range of variation for Hammond's. Along creek near parking lot; 38°30′52″ N 122°4′42″ W. From what I can tell this appears to be the first November record for Yolo county.
