Observation details
By far the largest group of Gull-Billed Terns I have ever seen off the beach here (or anywhere for that matter). Photos below show the deep bodies, thick wings, and small black patch over eye/ear (smaller than that of Forster's tern). A comparison of my photos of the Gull-Billed Terns to my photo of a Forster's Tern makes these features more apparent.
