NOTES: These birds were up on slope along trail at first trail fork at top of saddle; a male was seen 20 m away, initially on ground, then in a small Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia), then dropping again; several birds, possibly a family group, were present, but I saw only this one bird; these birds were in an area with scrubby Coast Live Oak bushes and Morro Manzanita (Arctostaphylos morroensis) interspersed by open areas; the wind still appeared to be offshore at this point. Number of individuals=UU1+;. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm. Habitat: Evergreen Forest, Chaparral.
