Observation details
***very rare and very cool, only the second time that I have seen HUGO. When I arrived there was one bird foraging far out on the pond closer to Prescott Road and around 45 minutes later another HUGO flew in from the east, though they interestingly never associated with each other. One of the birds was noticeably larger with a longer bill, indicating there was one male and one female. Both birds eventually took off to the south when the pair of Peregrines harassed the shorebirds and were subsequently not seen for the remainder of my time there, though they were seen by others later in the day.
