NOTES: LNS notes: Approximately 10:30 into the recorings, there is a frequency shift, as the original recorder began to operate more slowly. At approximately 13 minutes, the recordist announces that the battery was running low, so the recorder was switched to run off of the generator, however, the equipment must have still be malfunctioning, since the pitch of the animals and of the recordist ro not return to normal. In another 30 seconds, the recordist makes another announcement, and the pitch sounds normal. Use caution with this material. Hydrophone recording on left channel, and recordist's announcements on right channel. A gasoline generator is running in the background, creating noise in the recording. Many calls types present. 16Nov2004 SAS. SEAOCEAN TEMPAIR: -3.
