NOTES: "Bird was vocalizing from young lodgepole pine tree, about half way up..." BNA: Some vireo-like songs followed by male song. CZ 30/07/2004. [This recording begins with six vocalizations, five of which represent either a call-type that is not described in BNA account (unless it is an unusual example of the "tidilip" call?) or a vocalization homologous to the "vireo" song described for C. purpureus, but apparenlty not for C. cassinii (see also LNS #96373 and #120289). There is also one example of a "keeup/tidilip" call (0:21). These vocalizations are followed by three relatively simple songs, none of which clearly contain elements of mimicry, though the first of the three (0:29-0:31) has elements somewhat similar to a call of Turdus migratorius. Quality unchanged (2 - approaching 2-1 apart from wind/water rumble) - CAM - 7 February 2005].
