NOTES: "Bird was vocalizing from unknown location in canopy of juniper tree..." BNA: The male song is heard. CZ 30/07/2004. [Eight songs and a single call (probably the "tew" call of BNA at 0:56). These songs almost all contain some mimicry, with the imitations of calls of Turdus migratorius in the songs beginning at 0:15, 0:24, 0:30, 0:35, 0:39, 0:45 and 0:52. I believe that songs at 0:15, 0:24, 0:30, 0:39, 0:45, and 0:52 also contain imitations of part of the song of Troglodytes aedon, and the songs at 0:24, 0:35, and 0:45 appear to include notes of Tachycineta bicolor. I am not certain if the rapid trill in the middle of each of these songs is an imitation of another species, but I suspect that the terminal elements of the song beginning at 0:45 are imitiations, even if I cannot identify them with certainty. Note that the first part of this recording appears to contain the calls or Riparia riparia. Quality changed from 1-2 to 2-1 - CAM - 7 February 2005].
