Observation details
For the bird in this photo, our group originally thought this was a Pine Siskin which was on the Rare List. Later reviewers said that they think it is a Red winged Blackbird. Saving this original photo and notes for documentation purposes here: This bird flew in and landed on the power line about the end of our birding. At first we thought it was House Finch, based on color patterns on back which bird had its back to us. But on later review of this one photo, the bird had the very sharp pointed bill indicating Pine Siskin instead. Back and wing bar patterns also match Pine Siskin. yellow on back/wings was not visible in this sun and photo angle, but bill appears seems conclusive.
