Observation details
Single bird flushed a few times from the burn area. Plain brown in flight with black tail, laterally margined in white. The bird had a loose bouncing flight, with a short glide before landing. Structure of bird and crest observed briefly after it landed in an open area. Flight call rarely given; once, a short, mumbled "brrwhitchu". Structure and plumage appear to rule out oriental skylark.
