Observation details
FOY. (Finally!! I've never worked so hard for a species.) I spent about twenty minutes with this bird and got some pretty open looks. I was really taken with how the bird foraged as it was moving through the goldenrod and other tall weeds on the side. I noticed the very subtle and deliberate movements of its head as it scoured the weeds for insects, tilting its head almost indiscernibly side to side, raising and lowering it, the head was in almost constant motion, yet appeared still, so painstaking it was in its search. From one perch it inspected every conceivable surface and would pounce when it saw prey.
