Observation details
Westbound movement detected from 4:20 to 6:20 pm, documented from the dune. Birds were light adults and subadults apart from 1 juv. I looked carefully for other Jaeger species. Apart from one bird they were in loose groups of 2 to 3 birds. 5 Jaegers visible at the same time at some point. 3 birds stayed for over 40 min, spending most of their time together on the water and regularly one bird would take off to start an insisting chase targeting a Forster or Common Tern or a Laughing Gull, going many times up and down over the horizon.
