Observation details
First heard high pitched calls and intermediately recognised as a turq, then saw fly across the creek and land in a tree where I then lost track of it for some time. About an hour later I flushed it from the ground beside Fulica hide and it hung around Fulica hide for the next hour mostly feeding on the ground and occasionally flying across the creek. No leg bands and very shy suggesting a wild bird. Female, see photos.
