Observation details

*RARE* Seen briefly at first light, around 6:45 ish. Waited a while before it re-appeared and put on a good show from ~8:00 till Deb had to go to work. Buff-orange-peach lower flanks, streaky gray upper breast. Longish black down curved bill. Faint spots along top of rusty rump. Bobbing up and down wren-style. Along rocky channel to right of boardwalk bridge. First state record. Found by Ben Dziedzic, October 2, ~6pm. Subsequently documented by multiple observers.
