Low hawk- Abieticola
Observation details
I think one may be the Abieticola variety. Seemed to have shorter wings than the higher up RTHA. Low hawk was making the typical hawk noise (whistle? Scream?). UPDATE- checked with experts at Hawkwatch.org, received response that the low bird “...is an adult Northern Red-tailed Hawk based on the dark and somewhat 'bleeding' patagials, dark belly and, and red hue to the underside.” Separating listings accordingly.
